Celebrated Nigerian filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan is a hard worker. He remains one of the busiest directors in the Nigerian film industry. As hard as he works, same he craves good life. And one of those is having an eye-popping home befitting his star status.
Call it Hollywood dream, Afolayan said that’s what he desires. That dream came to pass last Sunday 15 May, when Afolayan unveiled his multi-million naira Lagos home.
The prolific movie director hosted select friends and colleagues to an exclusive housewarming shindig. And his guests were awed of the massiveness and magnificence of the mansion with a blend of antique, artistic and modern evolution.
WEEKEND RENDEZVOUS gathered that the six-bedroom, three-floor mansion, erected on two plots of land, inside OPIC Estate, Isheri North, Lagos, cost the filmmaker over N400million.

The mansion also has an attached one-floor gatehouse and power generating room.
Our correspondent gathered that Afolayan bought the land about five years ago but commenced construction two years ago.

Afolayan, in a bid to encourage young and hardworking Nigerians, took to his Instagram page to share the aerial view of his new home.
According to the award-winning filmmaker, who posted the video on Wednesday, he decided to share the clip to show gratitude to God for his benevolence and to spur the younger generation to stay true to their dreams.
"Hmmmm! Some people may see this as show off but the wise will see beyond the surface. My main motive of putting this video out is firstly, to appreciate the goodness of God in my life. But majorly to use it as a medium to minister and encourage every hardworking Nigerian out there that if you put your mind to what you believe in, be realistic in your approach and deal with people with open mind then you are surely not far from your goal. And you surely will get there even though it may take time,” he wrote.

Let us all work towards building our own Beverly Hills in Nigeria. I say thank you to God and all you fans out there for your tremendous support thus far. I pray and wish every one of us our heart desires. I desired this and I got it, surely you can too. Ire”
