Nnamdi Okonkwo
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly rearrested the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fidelity Bank Plc , Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo, in connection with another lodgement of $153 million by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
This is coming barely a month after Okonkwo was arrested and later released for allegedly receiving $115m from Diezani for subsequent disbursement to some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the 2015 general elections.
The embattled Managing Director is said to have been in the EFCC detention since Tuesday.
