Industry Nite, the weekly
music event, has hosted Afro-pop star Wizkid to the “Industry Nite with Wizkid”
concert in Houston, United States.
The event which held on 6
May at the Ayva Centre in Richmond, Houston, Texas, United States, was a double
delight for music lovers and tourists alike as it coincided with the popular
yearly Oil and Gas expo tagged OTC.
The night witnessed over a
thousand guests converge on the Ayva Centre to experience the fun Industry Nite
brings to all of its concerts. And true to their expectations, the star of the
night, Wizkid didn’t disappoint either. Backed by a 10-man live band, Wizkid
was in his full elements. He performed his numerous hit tracks and delivered a
stellar performance to the capacity.
Speaking after his
performance, Wizkid said: “Tonight was amazing; the love I got from my
fans was unbelievable. I felt the energy right from the moment I graced the
stage. I thoroughly had a great time.”

surprise appearance on stage and took turns to entertain fans.

Matthew Ohio, founder of
Industry Nite, said the goal has always been to promote Nigerian music beyond
her shores and this year they are partnering a number of organisations to see
that it is achieved.
He added that they have
successfully hosted a number of artistes on their tours thereby creating a
cultural exchange that has helped African music get mainstream attention.
Since the commencement of
its international tour, Industry Nite has hosted a number of African music acts
namely Dbanj, Wande Coal, Burna Boy, Timaya, South African music group Micasa,
Sauti Sol (Kenya) to mention a few. Industry Nite Houston was put
together by El Carnaval, Viva Africa and Kiza Dubai.
