Asa, Nigeria’s
international Soul singer will be leading a posse of talented singers that will
be performing at this year edition of Africa’s biggest youth event, The Future
Awards Africa, TFAA, 2014.
A release from the
organisers stated that Asa, whose recently released third album, ‘Bed of Stone’,
has been garnering rave reviews across the world, will exclusively be
performing songs from her latest album at the strictly by invitation’s black-tie
event holding on Sunday, 7 December at the
Intercontinental Hotels in Lagos, Nigeria.
Asa will be joined by another multiple award winning singer, Iyanya and 2014’s breakout artiste, Yemi Alade, who debuted her album ‘King of Queens’ this year.

Ohimai Atafo, fashion
designer and Chairman, TFAA’s Central Working Committee, said also expect to be
on stage during the awards’ night are Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji,
Banky W and Lanre Da Silva Ajayi.
“They will be driving the content of the awards
through calls to action and award presentations,” said Atafo. Four anchors that will direct the event have also be announced. They are Nigeria’s Ice Prince, Iyanya and Osas Ighodaro; and Ugandan Channel O VJ, Flavia Tuminise.
Hosting the red carpet will be EbonyLife TV’s Bolanle Olukanmi and Zainab Balogun. They will be joined by fashion bloggers, Denola Adepetun and Zina Anumudu of StyleVitae who have defined the culture for fashion over the past year.
The Future Awards Africa 2014 will be broadcast live on Channels Television.
